In his opening address, President Koh Choong Yong appreciated the ExCo members of the previous term for “putting together a remarkable string of events” in the past year.
The organisation of activities like YouthQuake, the Vote18 campaign, and the Karaoke and Photo Competitions were examples of the unity and cohesiveness of the ExCo.
He concluded by noting that this youth wing election was more important than ever as the new ExCo is likely to see the party through in the coming general elections.
Having completed their two-year terms of office and choosing not to stand for re-election, Aaron Peng, Frieda Chan Sio Phing and Koh Chee Wei vacated their positions as ExCo members.
Ng Swee Bee and Bernard Chen were re-elected for fresh two-year terms of office in the positions of Vice-President and Secretary respectively.
Four seats for the position of ExCo member were opened for nominations.
Tan Thuan Tong was re-elected to a new two-year term as an ExCo member. He had served in the ExCo for the term 2008-2010.

• David Chua Zhi Hon: final-year SMU Information Systems Management and Advanced Business Technology undergraduate,
